Regional Field Director
All on the Field (AOTF) runs paid canvassing and ballot-access programs across multiple states. We are hiring Regional Field Directors for our 2026 Mississippi canvass program, with positions available in Northern Mississippi (DeSoto County and surrounding areas) and the Mississippi Delta.
Each Regional Field Director runs the canvass in one region, managing a team of team leads and canvassers and meeting door-count and quality targets for that region. This is a hands-on field management position that requires daily presence in the field. Turf in both regions is rural and the role involves substantial daily driving between sites. These are in-region positions; relocation is required.
Responsibilities
- Run daily canvass operations for your region: turf assignment, morning launches, mid-shift checks, and evening debriefs
- Hire, train, and manage team leads and canvassers in your region at a 1:5 team lead to canvasser ratio
- Surface qualitative feedback from canvassers (common questions, reactions) as part of daily reporting
- Meet daily and weekly door goals for your region; identify and address underperforming turf and staff
- Conduct in-field spot-checks and enforce data quality and field integrity standards, including fraud prevention
- Verify canvasser hours daily and submit accurate numbers ahead of payroll
- Recruit locally alongside the operations team, including churches, community organizations, colleges, and local networks
- Manage the daily supply cycle for your region: pickups, distribution, and returns
- Report regional numbers on a daily cadence
- Other duties as the program requires
Qualifications
- 1+ cycle of field experience, including direct experience managing canvassers, organizers, or a comparable team
- Comfortable working rural and small-town turf with significant daily driving; Mississippi or Deep South experience required.
- Familiarity with or roots in the region you are applying for is a plus
- Comfortable managing performance directly
- Proficient with VAN/Votebuilder and MiniVAN, or able to learn quickly
- Organized and self-directing; able to manage a region independently
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
